During the Academic Year 2023–2024, the SHARPEN Academy had the privilege of organising a comprehensive training programme in Jolly Phonics led by Ms. Aparna, an experienced and dedicated trainer.

Impressed by the effectiveness of the initial workshop, we extended the learning into a structured six-month course for teachers handling LKG to Std II across all our 12 schools in Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Salem and Ernakulam.

Though conducted online, the sessions were highly engaging, practical and clearly understood by the staff, reflecting Ms. Aparna’s excellent training approach and deep expertise in Jolly Phonics methodology.

Her sessions were well-planned, interactive and resource-rich. She generously shared relevant materials, which continue to serve as valuable guides for our teachers in their classroom practice. Whenever required, she also visits the schools to observe implementation and provides constructive feedback.

At the end of the course, an assessment was conducted to evaluate the teachers’ understanding and application of the concepts. The successful completion of this programme has ensured consistent and effective phonics instruction across all our campuses.
