Creative Writing - For Children Who Have Stories Inside Them

Every child has a story inside them. Sometimes they just need someone to help them find the words.

Creative Writing is one of my most favourite programmes to teach, because it is where children truly come alive. This is not about grammar rules or spelling tests. This is about imagination, expression, and the pure joy of putting your thoughts on paper.

In our Creative Writing classes, we:

  • Help children discover that they have something worth saying and worth writing
  • Teach them the building blocks of a great story, like characters, setting, plot, and emotion
  • Explore different styles of writing like descriptive writing, narratives, and poetry
  • Show them how professional authors think, plan, and create
  • Give them prompts, activities, and freedom to write in their own unique voice
  • Celebrate every piece of writing, no matter how big or small

Some of our students have gone on to write their own little stories and share them with their families. A few have even said they want to become authors someday. And honestly? I believe every single one of them. 

If your child has ever made up a story at bedtime, written in a secret diary, or just loves to daydream, this class is for them. We are not just teaching writing here. We are nurturing a lifelong love for storytelling.
